While playing the lead in Imtiaz Ali's 'Rock Star' Ranbir had learned to play the guitar from scratch. And we hear, Ranbir is all set to perform live for the film. Apparently, one reason why Saif had initially been selected for the role of the Rock Star was his proficiency on the guitar. (Saif had played with the band Parikrama and knew how to play live on stage). And now with Ranbir stepping in, though he won't be singing his own tracks, he will play the guitar in front of a live audience for the film. The idea is to fill up the audience with youngsters who are fans of rock music for a 'Ranbir Kapoor Concert' backed by a full band.
