The first ever fashion week dedicated to Bridal Couture is all set to go in a month's time, with some of the most coveted designers of the country participating.
The Aamby Valley India Bridal Week 2010 was announced yesterday at Hotel Sahara Star in Mumbai. The event also showcased some of the amazing bridal wear from some coveted designers of the county.
The participating designers are Manish Malhotra, Manish Arora, Neeta Lulla, Ashima Leena, Falguni & Shane Peacock, Rocky S, Shantanu & Nikhil and Anjali & Arjun Kapoor.
The fashion week is solely dedicated to the bridal couture will be held from October 29 to November 2 and will focus on wedding and special occasion clothing, jewellery and accessories. The afternoon at Sahara saw a brief glimpse of each of the designer's stunning creations displayed by their respective gorgeous muses ranging from cocktail to bridal designer apparel.
The designers are all excited about the bridal couture as they feel it is going to be one of its kinds showing the greatness of Indian culture.
"We are going to put the pure bridal wear in this fashion week. And however modern we Indians become, when it comes to wedding I still believe 'Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani'. All brides and grooms want to wear the traditional bridal wear. This season you will see a mix of Indian bridal wear with some Western cuts too," revealed Neeta Lulla.
Motherhood changed me - Karisma Kapoor
Karishma Kapoor was born in media glare. She had inherited the Kapoor fair skin and light eyes and made a pretty picture. Karisma Kapoor often informally referred to as Lolo made her film debut in 1991, and later on she went on to become one of the most popular actresses of her generation. In 2003, Karishma took a sabbatical from full time acting for three years.
Karisma does not like to talk about her personal life but she has been romantically involved with Ajay Devgan and Abhishek Bachchan. But later she married to Sanjay Kapur, a Delhi businessman, in a glittering ceremony. She is the mother of Samaira, a baby girl born in 2005. After the birth of her daughter, there was considerable rift between her and her husband. The couple has subsequently patched-up. She gave birth to her second child, a baby boy Kiaan Raj Kapoor on 12 March 2010.
